TEACHING STYLE

I like to think that I am here to teach your child “The Language of Music” and in the process, they will learn to play an instrument. I currently teach piano, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, horn, and voice from age 6 to 64. I have kids of all ages. My goal is to teach students to make beautiful music, alone and with others while they learn the language of music. This means that they will learn to read and write this language, learn to use the mathematical relationships involved in this language, and learn to create and to perform with this language. Mastering an instrument also helps improve self-discipline and a love for the doing. By that, I mean the love of the work alone in a practice room which it takes to get good at anything in life. So to recap, this will help with math, reading and language arts, learning a foreign language, and self-discipline. I am dedicated to helping you or your child grow through the power of music.
