COURSE DESCRIPTION: This beginning ukulele course continues to build the foundation for playing this fun, portable instrument. Students will learn how to read music notation, use various playing techniques, and read and listen critically to music. They will listen to some of the most important, influential musicians that have excelled at the ukulele, and learn about its history. Students can expect to encounter a variety of listening and playing assignments, as well as lesson quizzes and exams, and will create a portfolio of recordings that reflect the progress they make.
