COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to introduce students to the bass guitar and get them passionate about playing the instrument. Students will explore and learn about the bass guitar, proper playing technique, and important figures in bass history. This course will teach students how to read standard notation, tablature, and fingerboard diagrams. Students can expect to encounter a variety of listening and playing assignments, as well as lesson quizzes and exams, and will create a portfolio of recordings that reflect the progress they make.
