Description: This is a comprehensive health course covering topics of mental and emotional health, nutrition and physical activity, social health and relationships, sexual health, personal health and disease, substances and abuse, and injury prevention and safety. Throughout their studies, student will comprehend concepts related to health promotion and disease prevention; analyze the influence of family, peers, culture, media, and technology on heath behaviors; access valid health information; use interpersonal communication skills to enhance health and avoid or reduce health risks; use decision making skills related to health; practice health-enhancing behaviors; and advocate for personal, family, and community health.
