Guitar: Foundations 2 – UC APPROVED
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Guitar: Foundations 2 builds upon the ideas and concepts taught in Guitar: Foundations 1 and further aids students in mastering guitar playing. Students will increase their chord knowledge and ability, gain more experience reading notation, and learn how to play the blues. Through studying different kinds of scales, harmonic progressions, and playing techniques, students will have the tools and know-how to begin soloing. Students will also learn about the history of, and important players associated with, Blues, Folk, and Rock ‘n’ Roll. Students can expect to encounter a variety of listening and playing assignments, as well as lesson quizzes and exams, and will create a portfolio of recordings that reflect the progress they make.
