Child Development: Semester 2
Description: In this course, students will learn how children develop from birth to adolescence, including parenting methods; childhood illnesses; children with different physical, emotional, and intellectual abilities; and child abuse. Throughout their studies, students will describe the growth and development of the neonate, infant, toddler, preschooler, school-aged child, and adolescent; analyze various parenting techniques; discuss health and wellness consideration for each age and stage; and describe the criteria for quality care, including interpreting challenging times and coping skills of children, special needs, and exceptional and gifted children.
