Students struggle with math for a variety of reasons. Many students become frustrated because they don’t know their basic math skills. Some struggle because they don’t have opportunities to learn in their preferred style—auditory/verbal, kinesthetic, or visual. And others just need an extra push to cement the concepts they are learning..
When students come to Educational Advantage for subject specific help, like math tutoring, we prefer to begin with an assessment test. We use third party testing that provides comparable data to other students their age throughout the nation. Educational Advantage does not produce their own assessment testing. Once we place the student, we develop a customized plan to help them get back on track not only to master current concepts, but also to prepare for their next year at school.
Students can come to Educational Advantage for tutoring, or also to take any class during the school year (or summer) for credit.
