FERPA

  • The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act is a federal law that protects student’s education records. FERPA gives parents/guardians access to their children’s records; these rights transfer to the student when they are 18 years of age and/or attend any post-secondary program.

    If the student grants permission to another specified person to access their confidential records, or is transferring to another school, the following form must be completed.

  • This release form is valid for one year or unless/until revoked. To revoke privileges, the students must submit a petition form found on our website.
