Description: This course is the fascinating story of people, events, and ideas that shaped the early United States and why these concepts matter now (1492-1877). Students will develop a historical vocabulary, study important American texts and documents, increase their understanding of historical events and how they shaped our past and continue to shape our future, and finally, understand the actions of the government and what it means to be a citizen.
