Japanese 1: Semester 2
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course concentrates on building vocabulary and grammar for conversation and listening comprehension. It increases translation skills for writing using hiragana and expands reading comprehension through mini-stories and variations on traditional fairy tales. This course also takes a look into the connection between culture and history. Interactive elements include live instructor-led orientations and weekly lesson review activities, live one-on-one speaking appointments, a student discussion board, and an instructor-hosted wiki. This is the second course in a four-part Japanese series, which aligns with ACTFL standards.
