Earth Science: Semester 1
Description: In this course students will learn about the science behind recent natural disasters involving hurricanes, earthquakes, and tsunamis. Students will also learn about the structure of our atmosphere and how it makes life on earth possible. Throughout this course, students will learn the structure and formation of the atmosphere; explore different spheres of the earth and landscape characteristics; student relationships between the crust of the earth systems and the energy that flows through it; study the transformation of solar energy; examine the operation and influence of water on the earth, including the biological aspects of the oceans; and investigate the climate and weather patterns.
