Hi, I’m Tyson Cazier. I’ve been playing guitar for 17 years and I have degrees in guitar performance from the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and Utah State University.I play acoustic, electric, and bass guitar and though I am experienced in many styles I have a particular love of Rock, Jazz and Blues styles.I absolutely love teaching. There is no better feeling than experiencing the joy people share when they master a new technique or song. I love being part of each student’s journey.
My style is focused, goal oriented, as well as relaxed and student focused. I teach students where they are and work with them to get where they want to be.I love organizing performances. I have performed at the Utah State University, Southern Utah University and local venues across Utah and Nevada. I also organized the Southern Utah Guitar Convention in Cedar City, Utah two years in a row, where I brought together teachers and students from across Utah to play and learn together. When I’m not teaching or playing guitar, I love spending time with my wife and two kids. I enjoy the outdoors, tossing a frisbee, playing games, reading and having fun.I look forward to meeting with you and helping you realize your potential on the guitar!
In my teaching I focus on creating impactful experiences and instilling core competencies on the guitar. This helps the student to enjoy and identify with music more, and to build confidence in themselves.
