Sherry Lenich

Pianist Sherry Lenich is a frequent accompanist for area studio voice and instrumental music recitals, competitions, and evaluations and particularly enjoys her work with friend and colleague Dr. Judith Durocher. Sherry is the choral accompanist for Desert Mountain High School and formerly worked for the Arizona Arts Chorale. Along with cellist Ian Ginsburg, she founded DuoWest who performed over seventy concerts throughout Arizona. Sherry has written and received funding for more than a dozen arts grants. DuoWest commissioned and premiered Artifacts, a song cycle by Craig Bohmler and Marion Adler for cello, piano, and mezzo-soprano. Their most recent commission is Sonoran Desert Suite by Dr. Anne Kilstofte. Sherry has owned and operated a piano studio for over 35 years during which time she has successfully prepared and mentored students for evaluations, competition, auditions, and music careers. Students in the piano studio include kindergarten children through adults, beginners through advanced students. She is the secretary of state board of the Arizona Study Program and is a past president of Arizona State Music Teachers Association.
