Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I decided early on that my career path was going to be some sort of profession dealing with music. I started my journey at Bethany College, where I finished my undergrad work and obtained a BA in Classical Guitar Performance. Shortly after, I enrolled in the Master's program at Boston University where I obtained my Master of Music. Music gave me a lot of great experiences from teachers I've had to artists I've worked with. My mission is to help students realize their goals and help them achieve success.
My teaching philosophy is to instill a desire for lifelong learning of the guitar and music in general. I want students to leave lessons feeling enriched with knowledge and with a desire to learn more each lesson. The content has to be relatable to their lives and musical interests. I blend what I think will help them become a great musician with content they wish to learn. Learning becomes natural and fun when a student is able to engage in music within and outside of the classroom.
