Alexander Krukauskas is a guitarist and composer that takes the ferocity of progressive rock and combines it with the finesse and elegance of jazz. Taking influence from a variety of musical styles, Krukauskas blends all of these influences to create an interesting take on playing and composing in the jazz and idioms. Krukauskas began his musical practices in 2004 currently studying with distinguished jazz guitarist Dave Stryker. His most primary influences are musicians like Bill Evans, Frank Zappa, Thelonious Monk, and Mike Stern. Currently working on releasing his first album as a bandleader, Krukauskas can be found at his monthly residency in Boonton, NJ as well as beginning to turn up in other venues in the northern New Jersey Area.
I teach primarily in a "get results" way of doing things where the student will learn things in a way where they can learn how to do something and get the answer and then they will learn the "why" of how it works.
