Voice: Foundations 1 – UC APPROVED
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Voice: Foundations 1 is designed to further students’ understanding of vocal technique established in the beginner courses. Students will learn to improve their skills and technique through range, articulation, and genre selection. Students will be asked to use their critical listening skills to identify and better understand vocal technique and will learn about ear training. Students learn to interpret songs through research and how to boost expressivity through literary devices. Students can expect to encounter a variety of listening and playing assignments, as well as lesson quizzes and exams, and will create a portfolio of recordings that reflect the progress they make.
