COURSE DESCRIPTION: Music Theory: Basics 2 is a continuation of Music Theory: Basics 1 and is designed to further students’ interest in and understanding of music theory that can then be applied to other music courses. By applying the principles and lessons learned in this course, students will be better equipped to learn, read, and write music. With a fuller understanding of the language and foundation of music, they will be better able to speak musically and enjoy music on new levels. They will learn about meter, counting, and pitches, as well as major and minor scales.
