Drums: Foundations 2 (non-credit)
This is a non-credit course and will not provide high school credit or instructor feedback/communication.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Drums: Foundations 2 continues to expand on groove drumming. Students explore adding more texture and substance to grooves by using open and closed hihat techniques (hihat “barking”) that will take their grooves to the next level. They begin moving away from the backbeat by exploring different snare drum ideas and rhythms within these grooves. Lastly, they are challenged by a groove concept created by the legend himself, Steve Gadd, which allows them to sound like a true pro! Students can expect to encounter a variety of listening and playing assignments, as well as lesson quizzes and exams, and will create a portfolio of recordings that reflect the progress they make.
Price: $95.00
